Experience the art of Raku firing. This fast and exciting firing process produces beautiful metallic glazes. There will be flames, smoke, and fumes (respirator is recommended). Please bring welding gloves, and sleeves if you have them. Please wear eye protection, non-flammable clothing, and closed toe shoes. We have a few gloves and face shields to loan for the workshop. We will provide glaze or you can bring your own. Consider the size and your ability to lift the pottery from the kiln with tongs. Problems can occur like cracking with large flat or thin items and they can be hard to hold onto with tongs. Please bring your own bisque fired pots (limit 4). Bring a snack or lunch for the break.
