Pottery - Beginning Wheel Throwing

This class is designed for the beginner. The instructor will guide you through the basic stages of wheel throwing. You will learn the vocabulary, how to wedge clay, to center and how to pull up the form. The focus of this class will be on perfecting those skills so that you may move on to making cylinders, bowls, cups, and vases. You will take home bisque fired pieces. The pottery will not be glazed. Instructor will loan tools, or you can bring your own. Only clay from NPC is allowed. Clay is included. Ages 16 and up are welcome to participate. See the instructor if you wish to have glaze fired pieces.
