The OSPRI Automation Fundamentals Lab provides hands-on training in open-source robotics using flexible, industry-relevant technologies. Students develop practical skills in robot operation, programming, automation, and systems integration through real-world applications and equipment commonly utilized by small and medium-sized manufacturers (SMBs). The program emphasizes workforce readiness by combining technical instruction with experiential learning, helping students build competencies that align with current industry needs. Participants are also prepared to pursue the ATMAE Certified Industry and Robotics Professional (CIRP) certification, equipping them with valuable credentials and in-demand skills for careers in advanced manufacturing, automation, and robotics.
