CNC Milling prepares students for entry-level positions such as CNC Operators or Set-Up Technicians. Learn basic programming, set-up, and operation of a HAAS TM 1p Comupter Nummeric Control (CNC) milling machine. You will use machine control simulators throughout the course and manufacture simple parts using the milling machine. Topics include prgramming formats, control functions, program editing, part productions, and inspection. Gain the experience of performing quality control inspections before, during and after CNC operations.

CNC Mill Set-Up & Operations The CNC Set-Up & Operations class will cover topics that include introduction to the CNC Coordinate System and how to calculate positions, G codes with feeds and speeds, controller basics, how to real calipers and micrometers, machine set up and run parts. You will manufactgure simple parts using a HAAS TM1p CNC milling machine and will gain the experience of performing quality control inspections before, during and after CNC operations. Subjects will be taught through a cobination of lecture, discussion and hands on projects
