Child Care Aware of West Central Arkansas is proud to present our fourth annual STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) conference for early childhood educators at DeGray Lake Resort State Park, Saturday, December 5, 2020. The conference features keynote speaker Coy Bowles from the Zac Brown Band. Coy is a celebrated Georgia author of Grammy-award winning guitarist. Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) began in this decade as STEM, a major focus in education to promote scientific innovation. With the addition of A for the arts, STEAM integrates the arts in the STEM curriculum to allow children to apply their academic skills in ways that support intellectual development, creativity, innovation and problem solving. We agree that STEAM education must begin in early childhood. Join us in the initiative to foster children's innate STEAM concepts -- creativity, exploration, and critical thinking -- during the years that matter most.
