National Park College recognizes that administrative staff are truly the backbone of all organizations. The goal of the 2022 Administrative Professional's Day Workshop is to provide a day of celebration, recognition, and thanks to those who keep the office running smoothly. Join us Wednesday, April 26, 2022 for the 6th Annual National Park College Administrative Professional's Day Workshop. Our theme this year is "Growing Your Greatness." Come enjoy some inspiring speakers, great breakout session and an opportunity to network with colleagues. Breakout session topics will include Building a Professional Portfolio, Email Etiquette, Managing Stress in the Workplace and more. Lunch will be provided. Meet the Keynote Speaker Darla Thurber serves as Vice President for External Affairs and Chief of Staff at National Park College. A native of Hot Springs, Darla is a graduate of Fountain Lake High School. She earned her Associate of Arts degree at National Park College and her bachelor's and master's degrees at the University of Arkansas. She has worked in higher education for over 22 years, serving in the roles of switchboard operator, front line customer service in student accounts, director of community relations, and special assistant to two college presidents. Darla is a graduate of Leadership Hot Springs Class XXV and the Arkansas Community Colleges Leadership Institute. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for Oaklawn Center on Aging and the Farm Bureau Women's Committee and is a member of the Hot Springs Women's Leadership Council. Darla has taught customer service and telephone etiquette classes, and has presented on various topics including continuous process improvement, thriving in the workplace, and job crafting. She is married to Ray, and they have an 11-year old son, Marshall. Darla enjoys running, fishing and camping on Lake Ouachita with her family.
