Join us Thursday, April 27 for the 7th annual National Park College Administrative Professionals Day Workshop. Our theme this year is "Not Your Average Team Member." If you hold an administrative position we hope you will join us for a day of celebration and fun. Minnie Lenox will be the keynote speaker this year. There will be vendors, door prizes, lunch and breakout topics including Work Life Balance, Managing Stress in the Workplace, Show Your "Extra" Worth and more! Minnie Lenox, a native of Hot Springs, attended the historic Langston High, Hot Springs High Indiana University and University of Oklahoma. February 1, 2004 she became Director of Human Resources for the City of Hot Springs where she is currently employed. She has written and conducted numerous workshops in Professional Development, Customer Service, Teamwork, Leadership in Today's Workplace, Diversity in the Workplace, Sexual Harassment, Dealing with Negativity in the Workplace, You are Important-You are Needed-and You are Necessary, Drama Queens, Stress Management and Workplace Ethics. She is a member of the National Society of Human Resource Management (NSHRM), International Public Management Association for Human Resources (IPMA-HR), Arkansas Public Employees Human Resource Association (APEHRA), 2005 ARSHRM Diversity Chair Leader, 2004 West Central AR SHRM as the Diversity Director, National Park Medical Center Women's Advisory Board, graduate of Leadership Hot Springs Class XII, Charter Member of the Jessie D. Hawkins Lions Club; 2016 LION of the Year Award from the Jessie D. Hawkins Lions Club; Board Member for: Hot Springs Area Community Foundation, Combined Federal Credit Union; REGARD; Volunteer for the Lupus Foundation of America 2015 ACTI Commencement Speaker; 2014 College of the Ouachitas Commencement Speaker; 2014 ARSHRM Keynote Speaker; 2017 Arkansas Outstanding Human Resources Professional of the Year. She has been very involved in the community, especially working with our youth, through various tutoring programs as the past Community Faith-Based Tutoring Liaison for the Hot Springs School District. Her hobbies include motivational speaking, conducting numerous training seminars, writing, producing and directing various church plays, bowling, golfing and reading. She and her husband have three children, nine grandchildren and one great-grand child. They currently attend Union Missionary Baptist Church.
