Gardening Outside the Box

This class is for those who want to learn about alternatives to traditional gardening. Students will study, discuss, then plant seasonal plants (edible and ornamental) in various soil-less/hydroponic/vertical growing systems. Together, over the course of the class, students will cultivate a group Towe Garden, and finally harvest for all to enjoy while learning about composting and nutrient harvesting techniues. This classis geared toward beginner growers, but all skill levels are welcome. Ages 13 and up are welcome. Ages 12 and younger must have a parent enrolled. A $50 supply fee is due to the instructor at the first class meeting. This class meets once a month to allow time for growth between meetings. Each student will leave with a Countertop Herb Garden and Stackable Planter.
