Have you ever wanted to learn to play the guitar? This course is good for first timers or someone wanting to get back into it. Introduction to chords, importance of melody, advice for different styles of music, beginning note reading, first exposure to music theory, fingerpicking and working with a pick, some individual attention, and music history will be covered. Students will have the opportunity to perform for the class and family will be invited to the final class for a recital. Acoustic steel string or classical guitars only, no electric.
