Campers will explore the exciting and creative world of filmmaking through hands-on experience from concept to final production. Participants will learn the fundamentals of storytelling, including scriptwriting and creating storyboards to plan scenes and shots. Campers will discover how a real film set operates by exploring the responsibilities of every role on a working production, such as directing, acting, camera operation, choreography, set and prop design, music composition, and editing. Throughout the camp, students will collaborate as a film crew, developing teamwork, communication, and creative problem-solving skills. Using professional equipment in the podcasting room, campers will gain experience with recording technology and sound production, giving them an introduction to podcasting techniques alongside filmmaking skills. By the end of the camp, students will use everything they've learned to produce and showcase their own short film-a fun and rewarding celebration of their creativity and hard work.
