Summer Camp: Adventures in Art: Pottery - 6th - 10th Grades

Meets: Tu, W and Th from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM

This art camp will take campers on an artistic journey in the world of ceramics. Students will learn about the various techniques of hand building: pinch, coil and slab construction. Campers will be creating with clay in this project based camp where you will create several clay pieces during the first three days of Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. The pieces will then be bisque fired over the following period and we will meet the next Thursday to apply underglaze to our pottery. Pottery will then be glazed and fired in the kiln to be picked up at a later date.
