If you've been interested in trying Tai Chi but are overwhelmed with the number of forms to remember, Tai J Quan: Moving for Better Balance® is for you. Dr. Fuzhong Li, Ph.D., simplified the 24-Form Yang style into an 8-form style, selecting the forms most beneficial for weight-shifting, body alignment, and coordinated movements. While this course can benefit everyone, it is especially helpful for older adults and/or individuals who are physically mobile (able to walk one or more neighborhood blocks) and interested in increasing their balance. Incorporating slow, continuous, circular, and flowing movements, this research-based program has been shown to assist some participants with blood pressure reduction, improved muscular strength, better sleep, decreased depression, and fall prevention.
