Pottery - Beginning Wheel Throwing
Dates: September 2-25, 2025
Meets: Tu and Th from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM

This beginner class will guide you through the basic stages of wheel throwing. You will learn the vocabulary, how to wedge clay, centering, and pulling up the form. The focus of this class will be perfecting those skills so you may move on to making cylinders, bowls, cups and vases. You will take home bisque fired pieces. The pottery will not be glazed. The instructor will loan tools, or you can bring your own. Only clay from NPC is allowed. Ages 16 and up are welcome to participate. Please see the instructor if you wish to have glaze fired pieces.
