This course teaches ethical hacking by means of penetration testing techniques that students will learn to use to identify and test the vulnerabilities of computers and networks with the goal of determining the best defense strategies. The course level objectives are: 1. Analysis of the threat actor methodology: recon, weaponization, delivery, exploitation, installation, command & control, and covering tracks. 2. Analyze threats to workstations such as Malware, a foreign USB, social engineering. 3. Analyze threats to servers, SCADA networks, and PLCs with denial-of-service attacks, intrusions, and command and control payloads. 4. Effectively use penetration tools to identify and analyze vulnerabilites. 5. Successfully resolve a series of security attacks in a virtual Cyber Range.
