Basic Guitar for Youth & Teens

This course is designed for youth & teens who are interested in learning how to play the guitar.
During this course, you will learn an introduction to chords, importance of melody, advice for different styles of music, beginning note reading, first exposure to music theory, fingerpicking and working with a pick. You will have the opportunity to perform for the class and family will be invited to final class for recital. Nylon string classical or steel string guitars. No electric guitars. Please make sure your guitar is in good working order prior to class (strings, tuned, action). Ages 8-15 are welcome to participate.
