Have you ever wanted to learn to play the guitar? This course is good for first timers or someone wanting to get back into it. Introduction to chords, importance of melody, advice for different styles of music, beginning note reading, first exposure to music theory, fingerpicking and working with a pick, some individual attention, and music history. You will have the opportunity to perform for the class and family will be invited to final class for recital. Nylon string classical or steel string guitars. No electric guitars. Please make sure your guitar is in good working order prior to class (strings, tuned, action). Ages 16 & up are welcome to participate.
