In this class you will gain a solid knowledge of variable-frequency drives and their operation You will learn the basics of motor drives covers in detail, the operation of three-phase induction motors and the fundamentals of variable-frequency drives which includes the nature and function of their different components, V/f ratio operation, motor parameters required for motor drive operation, and the advantages and disadvantages of variable-frequency drives. You will learn more advanced functions of variable-frequency drives; functions such as acceleration, deceleration, motor braking functions, jogging, and protective functions, how variable-frequency drives operate with different load types, advanced control functions such as flux vector control and direct torque control .You will also learn the different requirements of drive installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. You will cover the use of programmable logic controllers and human-machine interfaces in conjunction with variable-frequency drives and be introduced to the key concepts of Industry 4.0.
